What Podcastly stores

Podcastly only stores data that you explicitly create or save:

• Account email — used to sign you in, managed via Supabase authentication.
• Content you explicitly save — articles, tweets, and video metadata you add to your collections through the browser extension or the dashboard.
• Generated output — summaries, podcast scripts, and audio files created from your collections.
• Third-party API keys you add — stored encrypted (Fernet symmetric encryption) and used only to make requests on your behalf.

Data processors

To provide the service, your data passes through the following processors:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter — text generation. Only content from collections you choose to process is sent, and it is sent under your own API key.
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech for podcast audio.
• Hosting provider — infrastructure that runs the web app and API.

Retention

Everything is kept until you delete it or delete your account. There is no automatic expiry of your data.

Your rights

You can export all of your data as JSON and permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Deleting your account removes all database rows, generated audio files, and your login.

Cookies

Podcastly uses essential session cookies from Supabase authentication only. There are no analytics, no trackers, and no ads.

Record mode

The browser extension's record mode captures public tweets, including author names, from the feeds you scroll — and only while you have recording turned on.
